Transition Norwich

EAFL are pleased to support Transition Norwich - a grassroots initiative to develop local resilience in the face of peak oil and climate change. Transition Norwich are planning an ambitious "great unleashing" (launch event) at the beginning of October, and meanwhile are offering a programme of free film shows and discussions in Norwich. East Anglia Food Link is embarking on an exciting new three-year project on the collaborative development of local supply chains, part of the Plunkett Foundation's lottery funded programme, Making Local Food Work. Our work will focus on increasing the availability of good, local and sustainable food through community outlets, from village shops and community groups to schools and hospitals.

Information about food supply chains in general and specifically about Meat, Fruit & Vegetable, Organics and Other supply chains.

Markets

Information about the markets that local and regional food supply chains can sell into, and in particular Schools & Hospitals, Other Caterers, Village shops and other independent retailers, Community schemes and Farmers' Markets.

Issues

Discussions of some of the key issues affecting food systems, such as World Oil Supplies and Climate Change, Sustainability, Food Culture & Education and Food Access & Health.
